HLBR - O sistema de prevenção de intrusão invisível
(HLBR - The Invisible Intrusion Prevention System)
Lecture presented during the Latin American Free Software, the famous Latinoware. The lecture presented the basic concepts of intrusion prevention and also the Project HLBR. Seeking a better understanding, we sought to compare the intrusion prevention systems with the intrusion detection systems, since the latter are already well known by most system administrators. Moreover, the HLBR inner and it's implementation details were shown through graphics and video. It was also a brief introduction to Project HLBR and how to contribute in the development of tools created by the project.

Talk presented at "Congresso Estadual de Software Livre - Ceará" (Free Software State Congress - Ceará). This talk had as main presenter Eriberto Motta Filho, HLBR Project's leader. The talk showed the most relevant aspect of intrusion prevention and detection systems. Also, the HLBR Project's architecture and implementation issues were presented.

Prevenção de Intrusão em Redes de Computadores
(Network Intrusion Prevention)
Talk presented at "Semana de Ciência da Computação de Mossoró" (Computer Science Week of Mossoró). The talk consisted in the definitions relative to network intrusion prevention and a pratical presentation of defense's technics and tools, focusing mainly in the relations of these with the TCP/IP network layers'. This talks had the co-authoring of Prof. Alysson Mendes, member of the "Grupo de Redes, Sistemas Distribuídos e Multimídia" of the "Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte" (network, distributed systems and multimidia research group).
Sistemas de Tempo-Real e o Software Livre
(The Free Software and Real time Systems)
Talk presented at "II Dia Livre Rio Grande do Norte" (Free Day Rio Grande do Norte). This talk had as main objective to show the advances of the Linux's kernel and it's uses in the development of real-time systems. Futher, the talk also involvel the basic definitions regarding real-time system and the challanges in it's devolopment.

Tecnologias Livres para a Redução de Custos de Infra-estrutura em Telecentros
(Free Technologies for infra-structure cost's reduction in Telecentros)
Talk presented at "II Seminário de Inclusão Digital de Mossoró" (II Digital Inclusion Seminar of Mossoró). This talk presented free alternatives to Telecentros' deployment. In the topic of software, the talk enumerated the mainstream free softwares in desktop, games, office suite and multimedia. In the topic of hardware, the LTSP Project and the Multiterminal Project were presented.
* Telecentros are special environments created to deploy digital inclusion's projects
